The cultivar, the myth, the legend. With a New York-encoded origin story, its ancestral roots trace back to Chemdog ’91, Mass Super Skunk (and was possibly influenced by Northern Lights). Due to its underground nature, accounts vary as to provenance. But key details that emerge from interviews, forums, and preservation circles point to a gentleman named Weasel being the originator. Having accidentally cross-pollinated Chemdog and Mass Super Skunk, Sour Diesel would go on to be heavily distributed by a crew of legacy operators in the Albany area. We aimed to do its history and characteristics justice. Upon the first inhale of MFNY’s Sour Diesel, the pallet is met with a deep diesel fuel and skunk that eventually gives way to a sour cream exhale. This cultivar is perhaps most noted for its intoxicating nose that has been known to fill a room, even in the smallest amounts. In addition to its unmistakable flavor profile, the looks of the Sour Diesel flower are just as legendary. Round spongy nugs are inundated with short foxtails that give off a spiked exterior, decorated with orange hairs and an excess of trichomes that blanket the emerald green undertow. A highly potent head high sativa that is sure to transport consumers who remember it into a time machine experience.
We’re still working on descriptions for each of our cultivars (past and present). Thanks for being patient as we work to provide you with our full catalog
