The Best Battery for One-Gram Vape Carts
A note from Galen (Head of Extraction) and Ian (Head of Ops) on why the right battery changes everything; and which ones we recommend for our one-gram vape carts.

Every Superhero Needs a Sidekick
The vape battery is the sidekick to the one-gram superhero; so it had better perform. Like every dynamic duo, 1+1=3 because they end up raising each other’s game: Like Robin does for Batman, Chewbacca for Han Solo, Pippen for Jordan. You get the idea.
Our one-gram ACTIVE XL Ceramic Pro carts with No-Burn Technology® use a ceramic heating element engineered to activate at 2.6–3.2 volts. In that range, the battery and cart combo provides full vaporization: offering the complete terpene profile, clean hits, and cumulus clouds.
Free or cheap batteries don’t offer consistent voltage and have no controls. They’re either too cold to activate the ceramic or hot enough to scorch it.
Why Voltage Is Vital
When the voltage is too low, it doesn’t heat the oil enough and the oil doesn't flow properly. You get tight, wispy draws — not much vapor, not much flavor. Incompletely vaporized oil can cause clogs, leaks, and oil pulling through. Also, incomplete heating of the reservoir makes the oil stubborn and the wick will recharge slowly. All of the above can make it seem like the cart's not working.
When the voltage is too high, the heat causes oil in the wick to vaporize faster than it refills from the reservoir. The result is a burnt taste and it can permanently scorch the wick (shortening the life of the cart itself). We want to avoid heating oil past its vaporization temperature (325-425F) and into combustion temperatures (475F+). Excessive heat exposure of the oil kills terps, degrades cannabinoids, makes it more susceptible to oxidation, and leaves unpleasant combustion byproducts in the wick.
So get a variable-voltage 510 battery and set it to 2.8V before your first draw and adjust up or down (as far as 2.6-3.2V). If it has preset levels (low / medium / high), start on medium and adjust from there. If the cart feels tight, try a warm-up draw (draw without inhaling) to get the oil moving first. Don't overcompensate by turning up the voltage too soon.
Invest in One Good Battery
By skipping cheap, inconsistent batteries that fail, less ends up in the landfill. Buy a quality variable-voltage battery, properly care for it, and the value will last.
These are the batteries we recommend for our one-gram carts:
ACTIVE Sprout 510 Vape Battery
VESSELL Core
VUBER Pulse Smart Vape Battery
VUBER Pulse Pro Smart Vape Battery
If you’re loyal to a different, high-quality battery, that’s great. We would never ask you to kick your sidekick to the curb.
